• Introduction

  • A-Life Academy was formed in 2011 by a group of enthusiastic volunteers in the society, and is supported by the YMCA of Hong Kong. It is a brainchild from reflections of the challenging situations of the less privileged young people in Hong Kong. It aims at helping the youths to build a better future through cultivating positive life values and nurturing intellectual and spiritual resources.



  • Program Delivery

  1. The program will be delivered through a two-year engagement.
  2. nterviews will be conducted with the applicants and their parents to have an understanding of their individual needs, problems, aspirations, as well securing their commitment to a two-year engagement. This information of the applicants and their families will be used for matching mentors, grouping of students for learning and support group, coaching and counseling to maximize the benefits of this engagement based on their individual needs and aspirations.
  3. All participants will be coached and mentored on an individual basis with group sharing and learning sessions for mutual support and encouragement.
  4. All four areas of the programs will be structured and scheduled as integrated program elements to ensure time and focus availability of the mentees as well as the mentors.
  5. There will be a central gathering venue where study groups, coaching and individual tutoring/revision sessions to take -place and as well as social support.
  6. On-going Assessment and Award recognition will be provided for supporting and encouraging youths to achieve their dream in the future.
