In order to help students who are non-native Chinese speakers adjust to school life and studies as soon as possible, our school offers the following supports:
Study support for students:
- Our classrooms provide a wide variety of Chinese language teaching materials and a language environment conducive to helping non-native speakers learn Chinese. Teachers also provide individual guidance when needed.
- The school holds activities for local holidays and study modules where students learn about different cultures around the world, deepening their cultural awareness and mutual understanding, and teaching them to respect different cultures and lifestyles.
Support for parents:
- The school actively communicates with all parents and can provide individual explanations when needed, so parents are aware of how their child is doing at school and are informed of school arrangements. The school also uses communication cue cards and circular templates from the Education Bureau for basic communication, and cares about parents’ needs.
