Our school participates in the Social Welfare Department’s on-site social worker pilot scheme, where organisations entrusted by the Social Welfare Department send social workers to the school two days every week, to provide counselling and support to the school’s students, parents, carers, and instructors. Their services are as follows:
- Hold small study groups for kids, talk with them, support their learning and emotional needs.
- Observe children’s academic performance, identify children’s learning needs as early as possible, provide referrals for children.
- Hold parent-child workshops, parent seminars, and other parent education, to familiarise parents with suitable parenting techniques, attitudes, and expectations.
- Provide counselling to school instructors, hold pertinent seminars and workshops, etc.
- Meet with parents, support and counsel families.
