Curriculum Features

Our curriculum is based on Christian ethos - our students learn through biblical themes and through putting the Word of God into practice. In our lessons, we teach our students to understand God's creation and admire his work with a grateful heart, and through prayer. Our teachers use a student-orientated approach and plan their lessons according to the "Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide 2017".
We adopt the "A Biblical Foundation for Early Childhood Education" curriculum published by Youth With A Mission, University of the Nation, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii. Through this spiritual early years education, we promote a child's development in the areas of ethics, intellect, social skills, aesthetics, physique and emotions.
Provide a rich and interesting learning environment, such as: Science Area, Play Area, Reading Area, Montessori Teaching Resources Area, etc., so that students can learn through playing and get a comprehensive and balanced development. According to the development of the theme, different extended activities, such as Outings, Sports Day, Healthy Supermarkets, and Chinese Art Exhibitions are arranged. In addition, we emphasise making learning visible. Various stakeholders are invited to come to the school to witness students’ learning outcomes to consolidate students' learning experiences.
In terms of English/Putonghua teaching, we employ a full-time English/ Putonghua teacher to create a good environment for children's language learning. The English/ Putonghua teacher will join the class during the free play time to interact and communicate with the students in English/ Putonghua, so as to improve the student's ability to express and listen in English/Putonghua. An English/Putonghua teacher often uses play-based methods and prepares different teaching materials, so that children can participate in and enjoy English/Putonghua classes. An individual English/Putonghua assessment is conducted to understand the student’s English ability. It also helps the teacher can adjust her teaching.
