Parents are key stakeholders in the school education process, playing crucial roles in supporting children’s learning as well as fostering their positive values and whole- person development. YMCA of Hong Kong Christian Kindergarten (Kai Ching) takes parent education seriously. We have designed different parent education programmes that are based on 4 learning areas in the ‘Curriculum Framework on Parent Education (Kindergarten)’ introduced by the Education Bureau. The 4 learning areas are Understanding of Child Development, Promotion of Healthy, Happy & Balanced Development of Children, Promotion of Parent’s Physical & Psychological Well- being and Fostering Home-school Co-operation & Communication.

• Having a good educational foundation starts with home-school cooperation, for it leads to better effect. Hence, we sincereFile Managerly invite parents to keep in close contact with the school through different ways, such as student handbook, school notices and parents' newsletter.
• We encourage parents to participate actively in school activities, volunteer activities and assist children in collecting learning resources, as they enable parents to have a better understanding of the school operation and help children learn more effectively.
